Modus
Operandi: I
use a heavy canvas stretched over a wooden frame, which I size with either
an animal skin glue or gesso. I prime the canvas with a foundation white
oil primer and, when possible, allow it to cure for a month. Synthetic
varnish is later used. This re-wets the colors and deepens the darker
