Paintings by Michael Lowell Teague

I’ve been painting the sort of thing I paint since the early 80’s, and even back into the 70’s if you want to count my episodic attempts at creativity as a teenage. Naturally, I follow my own muse, and where I tire of one medium I reinvent myself in another. Thus, my evolution as an “artist” had me moving from art to music to comics to writing, and then reversing the order. “Autistic” better captures who I am than “artist” because, for me, it is about finding out how things work, taking them apart, and putting them back together again under a different program. I dare say I have a style, although I have never been enough of a stylist to effectively brand what I create.

As I have painted less in recent years, the works in oil presented here (1998 to 2002) comprise a nearly complete list of my output.
